Book Design
Larry Thompson will discuss: “What is a book, and why? With a brief recap of the history of the book, I'll discuss some basics of book design and show examples of books throughout the ages, tackle some practical applications of designing content for books, and wind up showing the tension between content, design and, in more recent years, art.”

Flea Market / Swap Meet
Start time will be 7 pm, and not one minute before!!!
Swap: This year’s theme is circles. Surprise us! Keep in mind that the 11 participants will have to make 12 copies of their creations: one for each participant, plus one for the archives!

Wednesday Night at the Movies: Helvetica
Helvetica is a feature-length independent film about typography, graphic design and global visual culture. It looks at the proliferation of one typeface (Helvetica turned 50 in 2007) as part of a larger conversation about the way type affects our lives. This presentation is generously provided by Larry Thompson and Holly Dean of Greyweathers Press.

CBBAG-OV Book Fair Planning Meeting
The first CBBAG Book Fair of the Ottawa Valley chapter will be held at the Library and Archives Canada on June 13. Tell all your friends, family and colleagues!
